Alice Springs – April 2010 Clinic
|
Carlos’ first session of private lessons and clinic in Alice Springs won’t be his last – by the end of the half-day clinic, the participants had fully booked him for a two-day clinic and private lessons over the long weekend in June.
Clinic participants represented a range of ages, experience and riding styles, from youngsters looking to improve their riding basics, to dressage participants, and natural horsemanship enthusiasts.
Many of the participants were accustomed to riding with bits but embraced giving bitless riding a go. Bridles and bits hung unused on the rails while the clinic was in full swing, allowing enthusiastic participants to experience the positive response from their horses.
It was fantastic to see so many people come prepared to learn and to try an approach that involves looking into themselves to find the trust in their horse that we so often expect our horses to have for us first. As always, Carlos’ gentle and effective approach to working with both horses and humans left both more relaxed and positive for having worked with him.
