At Whispering Acres we start and train horses the gentle way, establishing cooperation through clear communication, understanding and trust. In addition, we provide riding instruction and conduct regular clinics that focus on safety for both horse and rider and help you to develop this foundation with your own horse.

We also emphasise teaching practical physical, emotional and mental techniques for dealing with issues like loss of confidence, spooking, bolting or picking up feet – issues that may prevent you from having the best relationship with your horse. We want your experiences of riding and handling your horse to be enjoyable for both of you.

We believe there are no problems in either the horse or rider, just a lack of communication, understanding and trust. That's why we use this gentling method, whether introducing a horse to the saddle for the first time or correcting an existing behavioural problem. It ensures improved performance and versatility, regardless of your preferred discipline.
